Susan L. Decker– CEO and co-founder of Raftr
Susan (Sue) is the CEO and co-founder of Raftr, a communications platform to talk about stories. She also currently offers advisory services to corporations and serves on the boards of directors of Berkshire Hathaway Corporation, Costco Wholesale Corporation, Vail Resorts, and Vox Media. Susan held various executive management positions at Yahoo! Inc., including president and chief financial officer. Before Yahoo!, she spent 14 years with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where she was recognized by Institutional Investor magazine as a top-rated analyst for ten consecutive years. Susan holds a B.S. degree from Tufts University, with a double major in computer science and economics, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She received the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and served on the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC). Susan attended the Stanford Directors’ College, and served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Harvard Business School.
David Ebersman– Chair of the Board, SurveyMonkey, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Lyra Health
David is co-founder and CEO of Lyra Health, a health care technology company focused on behavioral health. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Facebook, Inc. from 2009 through 2014. Prior to joining Facebook, David worked at Genentech, Inc. for 15 years in various positions, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, Product Operations, and Vice President, Product Development. David holds an A.B. in International Relations and Economics from Brown University and was selected as a Henry Crown Fellow in 2000.
Dana L. Evan– Venture Partner, Icon Ventures and Former CFO, VeriSign
Dana served for 12 years as the CFO of VeriSign, Inc., where she was a founding executive and a significant contributor to the company’s growth and profitability. She led VeriSign’s worldwide operations related to finance and accounting, IT, human resources, legal matters, investor relations, & real estate and property management, as the company grew from a small venture-backed start-up in 1995 to a global corporation of over 5,000 employees. During her tenure, Dana led the company’s institutional financing rounds, including its successful IPO in 1998 and follow-on financing initiatives. She also was instrumental in driving, executing and integrating approximately 60 merger and acquisition transactions. Before joining VeriSign, Dana provided consulting services for both public and private companies, and spent six years in various positions at KPMG LLP. Dana currently is a director of Box, Domo, Farfetch, and Proofpoint, and is actively involved with charitable organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of America, The Health Trust, and the University of Santa Clara Business School. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. in Commerce with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Santa Clara University. In April 2019, Dana was recognized as Director of the Year by the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Ryan Finley– Founder, SurveyMonkey
Ryan is the founder of SurveyMonkey. He launched the company in 1999 as a part-time project out of his apartment and successfully established SurveyMonkey as the Internet’s most popular survey tool, used by individuals and organizations throughout the world. In his current role, Ryan serves as a member of our board of directors. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Portland Art Museum. He studied Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and his interests include architecture and design, eating good food, and searching for the perfect cup of espresso.
Erika H. James– John H. Harland Dean, Goizueta Business School, Emory University
Erika has served as the John H. Harland Dean at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School since 2014. An award-winning educator, accomplished consultant and published researcher, she was the first African-American woman to be appointed dean of a top-25 business school and has paved the way for women in leadership both in education and corporate America. Erika has been instrumental in starting various Executive Education programs, including the Women’s Leadership Program at Darden, and sits on the board of the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC), the foremost authority on business school admissions and manager of the GMAT exam. Before her current role at Goizueta, Erika served as the Senior Associate Dean for Executive Education at the Darden Graduate School of Business (University of Virginia). She also served as an assistant professor at Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business, and a visiting professor at Harvard Business School. She holds a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in organizational psychology from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Pomona College of the Claremont Colleges in California.
Zander Lurie– Chief Executive Officer, SurveyMonkey
Zander was named CEO at SurveyMonkey in January 2016. He has served on SurveyMonkey’s board of directors since 2009, most recently as Chair. Zander served as Senior Vice President of Entertainment at GoPro, Inc. between November 2014 and January 2016. He serves on GoPro’s board of directors. Between 2010-2012 Zander served as SVP, Strategic Development at CBS Corporation. He joined CBS via its acquisition of CNET Networks where he served as Chief Financial Officer and head of Corporate Development. Zander began his career in the technology investment banking group at JPMorgan where he led equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions in the Internet sector. He holds a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Emory University, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington. Zander co-founded a nonprofit organization called CoachArt which benefits chronically ill children and their siblings in Northern and Southern California.
Sheryl Sandberg– Chief Operating Officer, Facebook
Sheryl is chief operating officer at Facebook, overseeing the firm’s business operations. Prior to Facebook, Sheryl was vice president of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google, chief of staff for the United States Treasury Department under President Clinton, a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, and an economist with the World Bank. Sheryl received a BA summa cum laude from Harvard University and an MBA with highest distinction from Harvard Business School. Sheryl is the author of the bestsellers Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead and Lean In for Graduates and founder of LeanIn.Org, a global community committed to empowering all women to achieve their ambitions. Sheryl serves on the boards of Facebook, Women for Women International, and ONE. Sheryl lives in Menlo Park with her son and daughter.
Brad Smith– Chairman and CEO, Intuit
Brad Smith is chairman and chief executive officer of Intuit. He joined Intuit in 2003 and held a series of executive positions during a five-year rise through the company where he successfully led several of its major businesses. He was named Intuit’s president and chief executive officer in January 2008, and became chairman of the board of directors in January 2016. Brad also serves on the board of Nordstrom. Building on Intuit’s strong foundation and enduring mission, Smith has cultivated an agile, innovative culture and led initiatives to reimagine and reinvent Intuit to harness emerging technology and trends, continuing to improve the financial lives of customers around the world. Benjamin C. Spero– Managing Director, Spectrum Equity Investors
Ben is a Managing Director at Spectrum Equity, based in San Francisco. He currently serves on the board of directors of Animoto, ExactBid, and WeddingWire. He is also board chair at Destination: Home, a public-private partnership to end homelessness in Santa Clara County. Prior to joining Spectrum in 2001, he was a consultant at Bain & Company and co-founder of TouchPak. He earned a B.A. in economics and history from Duke University.
Serena Williams– An accomplished entrepreneur and one of the most recognizable global icons in the world
Serena is an activist, marketer, brand builder, and greatest athlete of our time. Serena has won 23 Grand Slam titles, tied with Steffi Graff, as the most titles won in history of the Open Area, with her most recent win at the 2017 Australian Open while pregnant.
